Living on the EDGE

Once again, I am delighted to welcome you. to the month of April and honoured to continue our discussion about life after NYSC.

This month, I would sharing a fundamental principle which has redefined my very essence. I call it the principle of “Living on the EDGE”

Back in secondary school I was gutted by an event that left a permanent scare on me, my parents suffered a financial meltdown so serious that my brother and I were withdrawn from school! It took grace and favour that we were able to go back and complete my secondary school education, after this incident, I make a vow that I would always live on the EDGE.

What does it mean to live on the EDGE?

It means living your life in such a way that you are not defined by situations and circumstances that surround you but living your life in your own terms and conditions: you live in a world you yourself create!

Here are few tips on how to live on the EDGE

1. Regardless of the unpleasant situation around you, refuse to believe this condition, rather believe in His word concerning you.

2. Turn your skills into a money making machine.

3. Use your words to recreate your world

4. Watch the company of friends/associates you keep, the quality of your life can’t be better than quality of your friends/close associates!

5. Learn to tap into the power of positive thinking combined with mediation.

God bless.

PV Signing

I am sure you are puzzled as i am about signing PV (Payment Voucher) after your service year? I am baffled as well and to even think that i served in Ibadan North LGA under the Mrs Ologundudu even makes it more intriguing, as i dread signing PV!
It is exactly a month since we did our COC (Collection of Certificates) and not the usual POP and as scary as the headline of this mail could be, that is exactly how many of us have suddenly developed goose pimples as the realities of earning a living dawns on us. Many of usĀ  aren’t prepared for the challenges ahead to say the least, however over the next few weeks, i intend to share few practical skills that would go a long way! Please come along my colleagues and friends

STARTING BLOCKS
1. Ask God for the next step – it is very important that we need to ask God for the next step as He is the one would make us and ultimately knows what we are good at.
2. Form a network of friends – Form a network of peers in the area you are passionate about. Back in the University i developed this strong partnership with guys with flair in programming and this moved me a step above many others.
3. Be a committed giver – many a times when God asks me to give dangerously, i know a door is about to open and so i don’t budge because i know something big is on the way
4. Be Committed to personal development and Learning – Recently i spent almost 10,000 just to buy books on diverse topics to make that telling investment. As my mentor would always say, “What goes into a mind comes out in a life” Don’t get tired of learning
5. Develop a money making skill – In the parable of Talents or Parable of Dollars as my mentor would always say, The master gave everybody according to their abilities! The more money earning skill you develop, the more employable you will become and the more financial freedom you will get!

Good bye and God Bless you all!

IGO UGO WeGO MeeGo

When Nokia announced that it was merging its Maemo platform with Intel’s Moblin platform to form MeeGo, many people thought it was an idle talk but come 2011, Nokia’s first phone to use MeeGo platform would be available to the general platform and already MeeGo is getting rave reviews from techies and geeks alike about its possibilities, already MeeGo 1.1 for netbooks is already out and surely this momentum would get better by the day.

MeeGo all the way

Taking Stock

As the year winds down, i think it is very important for as individuals and corporate Organizations to take stock of what we able to achieve in 2010 or what we weren’t able to do so as to plan properly for the New, it is very important to do this in order to achieve better results next year.

Mobile Revolution

Exactly two years i started working on my final year project titled “MOBILE CONTENT DEVELOPMENT ON 3G PLATFORM” i spent a great deal of time convincing my project supervisor that the mobile revolution was about to take off, he was skeptical but after submitting my 1st term paper which was about the business side of mobile content usually called VALUE ADDED SERVICES by mobile operators using india as a case study, he gladly agreed. I still that a lot of my colleagues back in the university were kind of topic is this? Many of them said all sort of things but back them it became a norm to use opera mini on your phone as many people also joined the train. Fast forward to 2010 the year of blackberry, where the same people back then are now flaunting their BBs and getting pins all over.
Once again i dare to say again that the mobile revolution is just about to begin and it would define our way of life permanently!
